Issue: Printing not possible

If the printing of documents or ID cards does not work, there may be various faults.
For the most common cases, restarting the print services will help.

Restart print service

  • Log in to the administration of ID VisitControl

  • Open the corresponding gate in the menu item "Gates”

  • Scroll down until you reach one of the print areas. Next to the printer selection you will find an update button.

  • Click on this button to restart the print service. (It does not matter for which print area you use the refresh button).

  • The print service is now started again. Refresh the gateway page (e.g. by pressing the F5 key). If the printer selection shows "Print service not running", please wait a few seconds before refreshing the page again.

  • Check the printing of the documents that did not work before.

The button for restarting the print service is located next to one of the several print selection fields.
